The 16th annual Canadian Sport Film Festival will take place November 7, 8 and 9, 2024 at TIFF Lightbox in Toronto, Canada.

Curl Power at Hot Docs
World Premiere - Canadian Doc
CSFF is excited to co-present the World Premiere of the Canadian sports documentary CURL POWER at the Hot Docs Film Festival in April.
CURL POWER follows five best friends in their quest to become Canadian Junior Curling Champions. With phones in one hand and brooms firmly in the other, teammates Hannah, Brooklyn, Savannah, Ashley and Amy are regular teenage besties living in suburban British Columbia who push their limits on and off the ice. Throwing rocks while updating their socials, they’re living under pressure that tests their self-confidence, while pursuing their oddball dream of curling stardom.
Director Josephine Anderson crafts a thoughtful and captivating observational portrait of these young women coming of age and overcoming adversity, both in their lives and in a game of inches, where every shot counts.
